Clearly, I'm obsessed with zippered pouches right now. Sadly I don't have the time to work through the obsession quickly, nor can I whip one up for everyone who wants one, RIGHT NOW! Even though I'd love to.
My recent finishes are a pouch for myself. I love the casualness of denim, and I just loved this strip of lace over it. Add some fun lining, and I even practiced putting a divided pocket inside. Roxanne's is cut out except for the inner facing and should go together quickly the next time we can sew.

Ron's pouch was my next project. He asked for one to keep pipe tobacco in. I had been doing tabbed end zippers with the pouches so far, but this one gave me the challenge of incorporating the zipper ends so no tobacco would spill out of the bag. I had a brainstorm to extend the tabs and make them the sides of the pouch, which I then constructed very similarly to the baskets I've made. It turned out very well, and I'm pretty proud of the resulting pouch. The car fabric is fun, don't you think?
